Join us at the Mountain Top for Embodied Embrace: A Healing Session Addressing Intergenerational Trauma, Sunday, March 26th (BIPOC only)
InterPlay facilitators CarolynRenee and LaVerne Baker Hotep will share creative and embodied ways to address intergenerational trauma, including “Sankofa (“return and get it”) Soulutions” : Ten Steps Toward Healing. These practices will empower participants to share personal stories, find courage, witness, affirm, and deepen their awareness and motivation to shift implicit bias, structural racism, and racially-charged dynamics.
Our facilitators say: “There is a physicality to the emotions that get triggered on all sides by racism, interactions that are racially charged and go unresolved lodge in the cells of the body. Body Wisdom’s expressive art-based tools of InterPlay will offer The Mountain Top participants an effective container to transform and release difficult emotions.”
We invite all BIPOC UU and UU-adjacent folks to join us for this special session of the Mountain Top at 5pm PT/6pm MT/7pm CT/8pm ET on zoom! (Please note that this is half an hour earlier than our usual meeting time.) Please register here to let us know how many to expect.
Please sign our guest book if you would like to get on our mailing list for reminders and information about other Mountain Top activities.
