BIPOC Religious Professionals
Other UU Organizations
CoUURJ – Colorado Unitarian Universalists United for Racial Justice is a group of UU religious professionals in the Colorado Front Range community working together to bring anti-racist work to their respective ministries.
DRUUMM – Diverse Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministries is a Unitarian Universalist People of Color Ministry and anti-racist collective bringing lay and religious professionals together to overcome racism through resistance and transform Unitarian Universalism through our multicultural experiences.
BLUU – Black Lives Unitarian Universalism is an organizing collective for and of Black Unitarian Universalists. They are partnered with the other organizations in the wider Movement for Black Lives.
ARE – Allies for Racial Equity is an organization of UU white allies engaged in anti-racism work. They work closely with DRUUMM and BLUU in developing resources for congregations engaged in dismantling white supremacy.
Publications
The 2020 report “Widening the Circle of Concern” published by the Unitarian Universalist Association Commission on Institutional Change testifies to the disappointing reality that participating in Unitarian Universalism has been frustrating and hostile to marginalized populations, and particularly so for individuals who do not identify as white.
