Generously Creating Deep Relationships

“We cultivate a spirit of gratitude and hope. We covenant to freely and compassionately share our faith, presence, and resources. Our generosity connects us to one another in relationships of
interdependence and mutuality.”

UUA Article II Commission (Proposal)

April2024
Community CelebrationTheme: Love as Generosity
Speaker: Pastor AJ Blackwood
Facilitator: Christine Yoshinaga-Itano
6:00pm MTZOOM

We will discuss, share, and reflect on “Love as Generosity” as we continue with our year-long “Love as …” series centering on the UUA Bylaws Article II Proposal, and asking what it means to hold “Love as Generosity as fully realized individuals in mind, body, and spirit.”

Too often we think of generosity as doing something, giving money, or donating time for others. Pastor AJ will lead a conversation on what it means to generously share our ¨good news¨ of Unitarian Universalism. We will reflect on the proposal that the most generous thing we can do for each other and the world around us, is to share ourselves openly as a people who boldly seek to create deep relationships and live in community with love and hope for all.

This is a BIPOC Only space. If you’re a white ally, feel free to pass this invitation along to your BIPOC siblings.

Community Celebrations (worship) are different each Sunday, but we always have music, an extended check-in and discussion because we believe our lives and experiences as BIPOC folks are sacred texts. We generally stay together for 2 1/2 hours, but you are welcome to stay for as long or as short a time as suits you. After our formal program, we’ll have a check-in, and everyone will have the opportunity to share what is important in our lives with the community. Sometimes we have a large crowd and sometimes just a few folks, but we are committed to always holding this space for anyone who may wish to join us.

We hope to see you soon!
