December 11, 2021
This worship is open to ALL youth.
Come worship with us and join us as we talk about belonging:
What does it mean for everyone, and especially youth, to belong in our spiritual communities? What makes you feel held? What do you wish was different?
The Mountain Top: A BIPOC UU Community, Colorado UUs for Racial Justice and UU Justice Ministry of California are starting monthly online youth (middle and high school) worship, and December 11th will be our kickoff event!
What to Expect!
The event will consist of half an hour of worship and ritual, followed by separate middle and high school discussion and activity groups.
We’ll worship together, have fun, build community, and learn about our faith and ourselves.
To celebrate our youth and provide a space to create community.
- Provide the inter-congregational, spiritually supportive, community-building space for youth that they’ve been missing
- Have conversations about white supremacy culture, racism, and childism with youth to parallel what is happening in adult TMT/UURJ space and model new, anti-racist culture and ways of being together
- Have conversations about how youth would like to experience belonging and engagement in their congregations. When we have a handle on the experiences and feelings of the youth, we will eventually be having conversations with the adults on youth belonging in congregations, too.
