Indigenous Blessing Sunday Service with BVUUFHost: Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

Please join Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for their June 30th Sunday Service! BVUUF welcomes a delegation of elders and youth from the Southern Cheyenne/Arapaho tribe, who lived in Colorado for centuries before European colonist-settlers stole their land. This is the first time since 1864, when they were massacred at Sand Creek and then removed to Oklahoma, that a delegation from their Nation has been welcomed to their homeland to fulfill their desire to bring their youth and teach them about their life in Colorado, their history, language, and culture.

The elders will take part in the service and bless our building and land. Come help forge a new relationship with people whose ancestors loved this land.

We will let their youth join with some of our youth in an activity: tie-dying!

There will be a brunch after the service, and then they will be leaving for Oklahoma. Please join us, all are welcome!
