Day 21. Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China.

Today, we would like to highlight a book written by author, Jung Chang: “Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China.” A family history that begins with Jung Chang’s grandmother (the last generation in her family to have bound feet), to her mother’s story as a member of the Communist Party, and finally the author’s own experience as a member of the Red Guard and beyond.

You can order this book at (https://a.co/d/83DRju7).

“When I see this story through a UU lens I notice the three highly diverse perspectives that often clash and collide in a world caught up in rapid change, yet are held together in the unbroken line of a single family. If the author can hold such radically diverse perspectives within her own lineage, how might we learn to grow from the diverse perspectives we encounter in our own lives?” -TMT Member
