Celebrating Families We Love
Join us on ZOOM at 5:00pm PT / 6:00pm MT / 7:00pm CT / 8:00pm ET.
- 2nd Sunday Community Celebration (worship)
- 3rd Sunday Full Community Celebration with UUs for Racial Justice & Sepulveda UU Society
- 4th Sunday Community Gathering
We welcome people of color along with their families who are exploring, reclaiming, reconciling, and celebrating their identities in a UU context to experience wholeness and belonging, built on deep relationships of trust, providing sanctuary and community connection with opportunities for spiritual practice, and community leadership.
Join us this Sunday as we begin our December theme of “Divine Light” by celebrating the beauty of family diversity. In a world where families come in many forms, we honor the light that shines in every household—whether blended, chosen, or traditional.
Through stories, music, and reflection, we will explore how the love and resilience found in diverse families reflect the divine spark within each of us. Together, we’ll uplift the many ways that families, in all their uniqueness, are sources of strength and inspiration.
NOTE: We ask you to bring a Breathing Buddy. What is a Breathing Buddy? A small stuffed animal, pillow or other item to help you center during our meditation time together.
This is a BIPOC (and family) Only space. If you’re a white ally, feel free to pass this invitation along to your BIPOC siblings. If you are a BIPOC person (this includes multiracial/multiethnic folks), please gather with us as we celebrate our lives as BIPOC UUs and offer one another support in our spiritual journeys. The Mountain Top is a community that respects diverse spiritual and religious traditions and practices, and we invite you to share yours with us.

Community Celebrations (worship) are different each Sunday, but we always have music, an extended check-in and discussion because we believe our lives and experiences as BIPOC folks are sacred texts.
We generally stay together for 2 1/2 hours, but you are welcome to stay for as long or as short a time as suits you. After our formal program, we’ll have a check-in, and everyone will have the opportunity to share what is important in our lives with the community.
Sometimes we have a large crowd and sometimes just a few folks, but we are committed to always holding this space for anyone who may wish to join us.

We hope to see you soon!
