On December 15th, Columbine UU Church will celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Thomas Starr King. Pastor AJ Blackwood will be our guest speaker and share a reflection on the man credited with “saving” California from slavery and secession during the US Civil War. Known for his fiery dedication to justice, Starr King’s words ignited hearts and minds, championing the causes of freedom, equality, and compassion. We will explore how Starr King’s legacy challenges us to use our own voices as instruments of truth and love.
